Rotating Stock Information?

One thing we have in mind for a future version of TickerMenu is the ability to have an automatic rotation of stock symbols and data in the menubar (not a traditional right to left ticker motion but simply switching from one to the next). Would this be useful, or too distracting?

I'd like it, but I hope it would be optional. Tickers are sometimes very distracting for that reason.

I agree that a feature like this could be distracting, especially when it switches from a stock with a green background to one with a red or grey background (or vice versa). So it will be possible to enable or disable this feature in the Preferences window.

I would like this feature. Allow user to select the width, in tickers, how many will scroll across menu. If only one ticker width is applied, it would scroll though the individual items. If more than one ticker width is selected then the ticker would scroll, right to left, in a first in-last out fashion.

Here's another thought. If I want to keep track of the stocks and indices that I am interested in but also want to keep track of one stock in particular, the best thing may be to have two separate bars on the menu, (Side by side?) One for rotating stocks in my "watch list" and the other monitoring only one stock (rotating bar and focus bar?)

Thanks for the idea. The new version may help with this issue (although you would have to click the menu to see the main stock you want to follow), but we'll keep your suggestion in mind.
